Emergency Flood Relief

In early September, Rise+Shine's key region of operation faced its worst flooding in 30 years, brought on by torrential rains.

Hundreds of homes were submerged as water levels reached up to 36 feet in places, surpassing the previous record. Families rushed upstairs or to higher elevation as floodwaters surged. Roads, bridges, and farms were severely damaged leading to massive losses. Many residents were left stranded – without power, facing incredible challenges.

Rise+Shine, was able to rapidly respond to the situation providing critical food, clothing, and supplies to over 4,000 families affected by this natural disaster.
